Southeastern Wisconsin's Largest Patriotic Celebration
Ten days. Thirty-plus events. One community united to honor America's 250th birthday. The City of Delavan — alongside Visit Delavan, the Delavan-Darien School District, local civic groups, and area businesses — has transformed the traditional Fourth of July into an extended festival of patriotism, history, and family entertainment.

June 26, 2026 5 EventsScreening of Ken Burns: The American Revolution
A special film screening of Ken Burns' acclaimed documentary series on the American Revolution, hosted by the Delavan Public Library. A perfect way to kick off 10 days of celebrating America's 250th anniversary.
American Legion Fish Fry
Kick off the celebration with an American Legion fish fry. Join the American Legion at Post 95 for a delicious meal as we begin honoring America's 250th anniversary together.
From Roots to Remembrance: Delavan Historical Society's 250th Celebration
Join us for an evening of music, community, and patriotic celebration. Festivities begin with pie and cake drop-off from 5:00–5:30 PM, followed by opening remarks from Mayor Ryan Schroeder at 5:30 PM. A special performance takes place 6:00–6:30 PM, then a reading of the Declaration of Independence by Steve and Joan Hay at 6:30 PM. Scouting America Pack 327 & Troop 328 present the colors at 6:45 PM, followed by the National Anthem. The 1st Brigade Band takes the stage at 7:00 PM. Guests can enjoy the pie & cake silent auction, pie-in-the-face contest, and 50/50 raffle throughout the event.
Color Guard & National Anthem
A special presentation of the colors by Scouting America Pack 327 and Troop 328, followed by a performance of the National Anthem. This meaningful tribute honors our nation's history and the values it represents, bringing the community together in a moment of pride and reflection.
Watertown 1st Brigade Band
Enjoy an evening of patriotic music with historical flair. Known for their authentic Civil War-era style and instrumentation, this unique ensemble brings history to life through stirring performances and engaging storytelling — a one-of-a-kind musical experience that blends tradition and education.

Wisconsin's favorite Neil Diamond tribute artist brings the legendary hits to life. Known for his spot-on vocals and high-energy, interactive performances, Eric has spent over 20 years entertaining audiences across the Midwest with a show full of classic favorites and singalong moments.
Town of Delavan Fireworks Display
The Town of Delavan's spectacular fireworks display over Delavan Lake. A breathtaking patriotic tradition elevated this year in honor of America's 250th anniversary celebration.
Lakeside Fireworks Viewing Party at Lake Lawn Resort
Open to the public with complimentary admission. Features a DJ providing music entertainment along the lakeside. Concessions available for purchase.
Fireworks Boat Tours at Lake Lawn Resort
Experience the fireworks from the water with a special evening boat tour. This is a ticketed experience with an additional fee required. Don't miss this unique way to view the show over Delavan Lake.

Stars and Stripes Garden Walk
Enjoy guided Garden Tours, the Veterans Memorial Garden, a Patriotic Scavenger Hunt, and additional activities for grown-ups and kids. Admission is free. A beautiful afternoon in one of Delavan's most beloved natural spaces.
Patriotic Boat Parade on Delavan Lake
Open to the public at no cost. A patriotic boat parade on Delavan Lake led by the Lake Lawn Queen. Guests are welcome to view the parade from Lake Lawn Resort's property.

City of Delavan Parks & Recreation Department float decorating, open to the public at no cost. Come help decorate for the big parade!
Movie in the Park — The Sandlot
Open to the public with no cost. Bring your chairs and blankets for a classic summer movie night under the stars. The beloved American baseball classic, The Sandlot, screens at dusk in Phoenix Park.
Family Lakefront Yard Games
Open to the public at no cost to participate. Fun for all ages right along the shores of Delavan Lake. A great way to spend a summer Monday morning with the family.

Free admission all day. Free Bomb Pops for the first 250 guests — a nod to the 250th anniversary! A classic summer celebration at the Mill Pond hosted by the City of Delavan Parks & Recreation Department.
Lakeside Dance Party with DJ Felix
An outdoor lakeside dance party featuring a live DJ. Open to the public with no cost to attend. Dance the night away along the beautiful shores of Delavan Lake.

Come and decorate your bike in preparation for the 4th of July bike parade! Open to the public, no cost. Streamers, flags, and patriotic decorations welcome.
Patriotic Take Home Craft Kit
Kits available while supplies last. Pick up a patriotic take-home craft kit from the Delavan Public Library and celebrate America's 250th with a fun creative project for the whole family.
Folds of Honor Golf Fundraiser
A golf fundraiser benefiting Folds of Honor, a charitable organization that provides educational scholarships to spouses and children of fallen and disabled U.S. service members. Participation available for a fee.
Red, White & BREW Market
Over 50 vendors set up in beautiful Tower Park featuring Home-Grown & Hand-Crafted items — Produce, Baked Goods, and Crafts. Vendors will have Red, White & Blue products and even some 250th items. Live music from the Odd Company Band from 4:30–6:30 PM. Food vendors and cold beverages available.

Live music from The Love Monkeys playing on stage from 6:30–9:30 PM. Food, Beer Tent and tons of fun on the brick road in downtown Delavan!

A spectacular laser light and projection mapping show on the City Water Tower, presented by Visit Delavan. A dazzling end to an action-packed evening in downtown Delavan.

July 3, 2026 2 EventsDelavan's All American Game Day
A fun-filled afternoon of family activities, games, entertainment, and food for all ages. Carnival games begin at noon — ring toss, bean bag toss, fishing games, and more. Group games for kids and adults start at 3:00 PM including three-legged races, water balloon tosses, and pie eating contests. Kids Activity Tent open all day with crafts, scavenger hunts, sidewalk chalk, and marbles. Student performances, patriotic readings, and DDHS Cheer Squad and Delavan Flying Dragons appearances begin at 4:30 PM. Concessions by Lake Lawn Resort featuring pink lemonade, popcorn, and cotton candy.
Palmyra-Eagle Community Band
This volunteer ensemble, made up of musicians of all ages from across the region, has been bringing communities together through music since 1993. Their performances feature a lively mix of marches, classic favorites, and Americana, celebrating both musical tradition and community spirit.

July 4, 2026 — Independence Day 9 EventsPancake Breakfast
Join us for the annual breakfast at the firehouse! All-you-can-eat pancakes, French toast, sausage, orange juice, milk, and coffee. Admission is by donation — a beloved 4th of July tradition in Delavan.
American Legion Post 95 Presents "Freedom Bells"
Celebrate Independence Day with Freedom Bells, presented by American Legion Post 95 and the Military Order of the World Wars. At noon on the Fourth of July, the Legion will conduct a ceremonial countdown, followed by the ringing of bells and a brief commemorative program led by Post 95.
Fourth of July Kids' Bike Parade
Bike parade with ice cream coupons for participants! Children ride their decorated bikes from the Delavan Public Library to Tower Park. A charming and beloved Fourth of July tradition.
City of Delavan Fourth of July Parade
Come celebrate the Fourth of July with us downtown at our annual parade! Join the community as Delavan celebrates America's 250th anniversary in style with floats, marching bands, and patriotic spirit throughout downtown.
Gary Stebnitz
After the parade, enjoy an afternoon of live popular rock music featuring Gary Stebnitz with his guitar, voice, and music machine. A perfect post-parade performance to keep the celebration going.
U.S. Military Veterans "Parade of Colors" & National Anthem
A ceremonial "Parade of Colors" presented by local U.S. military veterans, followed by the National Anthem performed by Gary Stebnitz & Uncle Sam in tribute to our nation. A moving moment of honor and reflection leading into the evening's main entertainment.
Ain't That America — John Mellencamp Tribute
A high-energy tribute to John Mellencamp featuring the heartland rock hits that defined a generation. Led by Eric Reese, the show delivers powerful live performances of classics like Jack & Diane, Hurts So Good, and Pink Houses — capturing the spirit and storytelling of Mellencamp's music.
Family Activity Area Opens
Family-friendly activities open on the high school grounds, presented by the Delavan-Darien School District. A great spot for families to gather before the fireworks display.
City of Delavan Fireworks Display & Flag Ceremony
The annual Fourth of July fireworks display as Delavan celebrates America's 250th. Flag ceremony presented by American Legion Post 95. The grand finale of the celebration — a spectacular show to mark this historic milestone anniversary.
