Freedom Floats
It’s no secret that we love the water here in Delavan! Take your Independence Day Celebrations to the lake! Deck out your pontoon in red, white, and blue and enter it in the Turtle Lake Tap & Grill 4th of July Boat Parade on July 3rd! Prizes will be awarded to the most patriotic, best decorated, and best themed watercraft!
Breakfast Delights and Patriotic Bites
The rumors are true! The Delavan Fire Department Breakfast at the Firehouse is back this 4th of July! Head to the firehouse for all you can eat pancakes, french toast, sausage, and beverages and support our local heroes. This year in addition to sit down service, you can take your breakfast to go via drive-up service. Pancakes anyone?
America on Parade
After your amazing pancake breakfast, make the short walk over to the historic brick streets of Walworth Avenue for the annual 4th of July Parade! See incredible floats, wave to the firemen, and celebrate as the parade marches towards Phoenix Park at 3pm. Be sure to get there early, as the best viewing spots fill up quickly.
Lakeside Pig Roast Picnic
Spend your 4th of July at Lake Lawn Resort. Festivities are in full swing at the resort and include a beach bash with the Caribbean Beach Bash and lawn games starting at 4pm. Once you’ve worked up an appetite after an intense game of cornhole, say aloha to your empty stomachs. Grab a plate at the Luau Pig Roast! Enjoy island style macaroni salad, mahi mahi, corn on the cob, roast pig, and Hawaiian style desserts.
Take it Easy Takes the Stage
There is nothing more American than country music and rock and roll. Celebrate freedom with a concert in the park featuring Take It Easy – A Tribute to The Eagles. From their debut Witchy Woman to their climactic #1 Hotel California, Take It Easy covers all the bases. The concert starts at 5pm.
Turn Your Eyes to the Skies for Fireworks
Red, White, and BOOM! Join the City of Delavan as they close out the city-wide celebration of freedom with 4th of July Fireworks. Prior to the show, honor our nation’s fallen heroes at the Flag Ceremony in the park. The show is set to begin just after dusk.
